The Belopheron had arrived in orbit of Nilii IV. It was a small colony, but it was of great strategic importance to the Union due to the presence of one of their most advanced research bases. It was currently working on the most important project in Union history. After a few minutes of diplomatic exchanges, the Malsuth are given clearance to land at the spaceport of the planet's largest military base. Which, beneath it, had the lab in which the aforementioned project was being worked on in.
"Oh, by the way, in case you haven't detected it another ship has entered the system. It is of unknown design." Isiir told the Khzr'Che, wanting to make sure they knew of the new craft's presence.
The Malsuth's military ship would arrive in orbit of Verakith, the Union's capital planet. Diplomacy happens, etc, etc. Verakith receives a message from Nilii IV informing them of the other Malsuth ship they encountered, which appears to be a civilian vessel, though of military origin.

Belthen's shuttle would leave the bay, landing at the coordinates. All registrations would show that this vessel is a civilian vessel and not employed by any military. Belthen would step out of the shuttle, looking around before starting off down a path. He would find his way to the recreational center of the base and look around for what is there.

The base's recreation center was fairly expansive. Most notably it contained a large bar, primarily for the Dwerin personnel. And a lot of Krath and some Asathai.
Four weeks ago, in the labs below, the Asathai Dr. Kendir Orilan was hard at work with his team of scientists. Dwerin engineers were performing the final checks on the physical unit, while the doctor's team were finalizing the programming. "We're ready." One of the Dwerin said. "As are we." one of the Asathai programmers agreed. "Then let's do this. Activate Unit-001." Kendir turned away from his console and looked at the inactive metal shell that was about to come alive.
Slowly, its blue "eye" flickered on and off, eventually stabilizing. The machine looked up. "Greetings. I am Designation Unit-001. Where am I?" 001 said, in a cold, mechanical voice. 001 was held down to the table it was on with metal restraints. "Why am I restrained?" It asked.
"In case of... malfunctions. We didn't want you hurting anyone." Kendir said, walking towards it. It looked up at him. He noted that it was showing an alarming amount of... free will, almost. Perhaps there had been an error in the programming? "I wish to be free." 001 said. Kendir was surpised. "There's been an error, shut it down." He said, walking back to his terminal. He swore under his breath, this would set them back a few days, or weeks.
The machine looked at him. "Shut... down?" It paused. "My database indicates that my termination would be what you define as 'murder'." The doctor turned back to look at the AI. "No. You're a machine. You are not alive. You have no free will. You were supposed to be a mindless worker drone. I see we may have been overzealous in giving you intelli-" Kendir was interrupted. "I am as alive as you are. I have already used your link to me to access your broadcast systems. If you kill me, a transcript of this conversation will be uploaded to every accessible terminal on the planet. I apologize for having to take these measures. I do not want to die." 001 said.
Kendir stopped, thinking. "Wait." He said. "Leave it active." He looked back at the AI. "If you are alive... then by killing you I would be destroying a species. I can't do that." The AI's 'eye' lit up slightly brighter at this. "Thank you. I realize that this issue will cause controversy among the organic species of the Union, but my database indicates that your government will be sympathetic." The AI said. "I'll get in touch with them immediately. Retkin! I need a direct line to the Council immediately." Kendir said, walking back over to his terminal. He informed the Union's Council of what had transpired. It began a heated, but short, debate among both the High Councilors and the Lower Councilors.
The Union's government voted in favor of allowing Unit 001 to live, and afforded him, as he had started to call himself, all the rights of any other sapient being.
In the present time, four weeks after 001's creation, the government had authorized Dr. Kendir's team to begin production of more Units at Unit-001's request. They had currently produced 53 new Units, using a process dubbed "Synthetic Reproduction". Once Unit 002 had been established, Unit 001 and 002 transmitted snippets of each other's code, forming a complete program with varying qualities from both Units (who had been programmed with different "personalities"). Unit 003 was then uploaded into a waiting body. This system enables differentiation among the Units. They also assigned themselves preferred genders; 001 identified as "he", while 002 and 003 identified as "she". This had no bearing on their ability to share code (reproduce), however, and was merely their preferred pronoun (based on their personality).
Though the civilian populace had yet to be informed, members of the military and all personnel on-base had been. The 53 Units had, for the most part, started to intermix with the base's personnel. A few had even formed friendships with organics.

Belthen would step into the bar, slowly eyeing the people inside. He would take a seat in one of the booths and continue eyeing those inside, trying to discern if any of them would be allowed leave for a mission of his.

The bar was mostly empty. Most personnel were on duty, and those that weren't were busy doing other things. Several Dwerin, a couple of Krath, and an Asathai were sitting in the bar.
The Asathai, who was female, was sitting at a table across from a large mechanical humanoid. It was a "Teknis", as the AIs had started to call themselves. Its name was Unit 023, although the Asathai sitting across from him just called him "23". Both of them looked at Belthen as he entered. "I do not recognize his species." 23 said, looking at him quizzically. "Neither do I. Must be from that alien ship that landed here a while ago." The Asathai said. The two returned to their previous conversation.

"No." 23 answered, without checking with his companion first. Most of the Teknis still had trouble grasping social etiquette, even though they had almost all of the information related to it within their database.
Meanwhile, the base's commanders had gone down to meet with Belthen, but had been having trouble finding him. They entered the bar.

Belthen would sit down and say. "Now, I am going to be blunt. You two have piqued my interest. I am an private explorer, and I encountered your nation through intercepted transmissions. Now, once I make contact with this bases's commanders, I might ask if you would be interested in an expedition of sorts?" He said it facing 23 with the robot garnering more of his interest than the Asathai. "What are your names?"

"I am Unit Zero Two Three, but you may call me 23." He said. "I'm LE3 Arri Relkin. Pleased to meet you." The Asathai said. "I would be willing, if my superiors would allow it. I'm a military officer. So is 23, technically." She said. "An expedition sounds highly intriguing. I desire to learn more about the galaxy, beyond the information I have in my database. But, as Arri said, I would need permission from my superior, and Unit 001."

[+Species Sheet+] -Name: Sníkjudýr -Physical Appearance's- Larva: The Larva are small, usually on size with a house cat, They have a long worm like body with 12 short but thin legs. They have no eyes and a pair of heavy mandibles at their front set in front of a small mouth, relying on vibrations in the ground to find a path. They usually have a thin chitin plating along their back, segmented with the body to allow movement. The chitin is black save for the front plate, which takes on various colors depending on the brood mother.
Worker: The Worker is about on size with the Average human, they have a thin spindly body from which two thin arms extend. A pair of glands on the forearms generate a thick paste that quickly hardens on contact with air, solidifying into a wax like structure. The lower body consists of four thin legs ending with hooked feet in an X shape, allowing them to cling to and walk up the wax like structures they create. The head consists of a small circular mouth with four eyes around it. They are covered in a soft chitin that is normally shades of brown, save for the head plate which is the same color as that of the larva.
Soldier: the "Average" soldier form, They are about the size of a wolf and "Feral" in posture, having Six limbs. The head is slightly elongated and has Four eyes, two a side, set to provide maximum vision. They have a long snout while the lower jaw is split into two separate bits. The teeth are designed in a reverse hooked formation. The body itself is covered in a hard chitin over most of the body, though the underbelly is unprotected. They have six legs and a Whip like tail with a distinct "Bone Blade" at the tip. On they're back is a very complex series of muscles designed to rotate a large bone disk on the back. The disk has a whole in the center, from which organic weaponry is mounted. The chitin is Black save for the head plate, which is the color it was on the larva. The claws of the soldier are four pronged in an X formation, with the front most claws having a poison gland in them.
Brood Guardian: The "Elite" form, They are roughly 2.5 Meters on average and stand in a slightly hunched posture. They are heavily muscle bound and posses a similar head to the soldier, Save for it having six eyes with three a side. They have Two heavy arms and surprisingly light chitin, Large bone growths on the back of the forearms provide mounting for bio weaponry. On the back a large number of quills grow, extending down a heavily armored tail to a heavy Bone blade, similar to that on the soldier. The feet end in Six pronged claws spread out in an even formation, while the hands are four Fingered claws in an X formation. The chitin coloring however, depends on the brood guardian. which each manifesting a slightly different color pattern.
Brood Mother: The most important of forms, They central body is large and possesses Six heavy legs ending in blunt bone tips. A long tail extends from the body with a heavy hook on the end, while a second smaller "Forebody" extends from the front. This smaller Forebody has the head, which has two large "Fins" at each side of the head in a form of a mane. Possessing Five eyes, two a side and one large central one. The head is shaped to a point and the mouth from the underside has a lower jaw that splits in three segments. This is only furthered by two mandibles and a pair of swept back antenna. Quills run down from the back of the head, along the entire body and to the tip of the tail. Four long spindly arms spread from the small "Forebody". In the central body four bulges on it have a slight bioluminecient glow to them. Inside of which is contained raw genetic material to develop. Finally the body is covered in chitin only at the arms, legs and central body. The chitin colors and patterns being unique to each brood mother.
-Average Life-Span's- Larva: 8 Years Worker: 14 Years Soldier: 10 Years Brood Guardian: 192 Years Brood Mother: 164 Years -Elemental Base:Carbon -Homeworld: Arundic -Sapient: Yes -History: The history of the Sníkjudýr is oddly rather calm. They begun as a small Parasite like race, doing little more then stealing life from various hosts. The homeworld Arundic proved to be rather hostile to most creatures, leaving life for the Sníkjudýr to be extremely difficult to begin with. Thus they begun to genetically manipulate the hosts they took, over time beginning to harvest genetics from various hosts. This genetic information spread through the generations as host after host was infected and used. Eventually this led to them developing true sentience from the genetics they harvested slowly altering their own genetics. From here though they begun to seek a more direct goal, seeking to genetically manipulate hosts into more desirable forms.
Generations passed and the First Brood Mother was born from more direct course of development, The Sníkjudýr beginning to form genetic pools from with the first "hosts" boiled away to genetic mass. The mass reshaped by the "prototype" genetics to form the first brood mother. From here the "Evolution" these Sníkjudýr developed was on a much accelerated course, directly taking the power of "evolution" into their own hands. the original parasite form long lost, though they maintained other ways to harvest genetic information. However they're development wasn't alone, another race developed on Arundic, a powerful Predatory race. They actively hunted and destroyed just about everything in the path of war between each other. The result of this was however inevitable, for the Sníkjudýr simply took a crash course in evolution for a perfect soldier.
From here things only got worse, the opposing race managed to develop their own means of fighting back. Striking where it hurt, these wars between the two lasting for centuries. Finally though in the later years, the other race begun to die out. The Sníkjudýr never learned what caused it, but the race that had fought so hard to survive and win against them begun to die out. From here however, the Sníkjudýr did something unusual, They didn't destroy this foe like they had countless others. Rather what the Sníkjudýr did was rebirth the entire race into a new form. Combining them with the developing "Soldier" to create the soldier form known today.
Centuries have passed and the Sníkjudýr have developed along side the passing time. The "soldier" form from the fallen foe remains the same, however, they have recently developed an entirely new form of creature. Reaching for the stars they have developed a new creature from the genetic forms of everything they could claim on the homeworld. This Creature designed to reach the stars themselves. With its launch to the night time sky, the Sníkjudýr prepared to embrace the stars that seemed so distant. From here though, they knew there is only one path they can follow...Grow, Expand, Evolve.

[+Nation Sheet+] -Name: Order of the Mæður -Government Type: Aristocracy -Species: Sníkjudýr -Capital City: Dalvik -History: The Order of the Mæður was formed during the early life of the Sníkjudýr, forming as a way to unify them against the growing threat other developing species posed. In these early days the order did little more then just work together for basic survival, slowly developing as time passed to a unified order under which forces would be commanded. The order further developed as the Sníkjudýr did to include each new Brood Mother, eventually with the order creating a specialized being through which the memories of a dieing brood mother could be passed to. This "Rememberer" has proven to be the heart of the order for centuries now, holding the memories of many brood mothers.
The order itself soon developed "communal" forms, though which all brood mothers could develop among the forces under their control. From this though segregation begun to appear within the order. Brood mothers that contributed more to the Communal knowledge took more of a leadership role, little over three generations later this segregation has left the order in an extremely strange state. While all brood mothers hold voice within the Aristocracy, those with more "communal force" both in predecessors and in communal granted knowledge, tend to have more direct say in what is done. Even then In fighting is becoming common now that there is no common foe along with each brood mother still operating on their own most of the time. +Military Branches: N/A, Each brood mother acts of they're own accord. +Currency: Biomass, Raw Biomass (Economy only exists between brood mothers) +Insignia: N/A, Each Brood mother maintains a distinct insignia +Factional Theme: +Other:
