"We will assign you liaisons. These two are not trained in proper diplomacy." The Krath said. "And one is a robot..." he muttered. 23 looked at him. "We prefer the term 'AI'." He said. The Krath grunted.
"It's likely they detected our Ripspace Rupture. The radiation spike emitted by it is visible on sensors for light years." Isiir replied.

Belthen would sigh and say. "I am an independent explorer, I work for no military or nation. I simply need members of an away team. All diplomacy would be handled by myself. Their diplomatic skills would play into it little to none."

"It's up to them, then." The Krath said. "I'll do it." Arri replied. "As will I. I am sure One would be glad to see a Teknis going on to greater things than sitting in a military base." 23 said.

Belthen would clap and say. "Good, no time to waste. Shall we set off then?"

"Very well then, I now assign you as liaisons to whatever their ship is called, I honestly don't remember nor do I care to." The Krath said. He no longer considered this important or worth his time, seeing as the Malsuth craft was purely civilian in nature. "Please leave as soon as possible, I have important matters to attend to and you will get in the way." He started to walk away, grumbling something about how nothing interesting ever happens at the base.
"I need to get a few things ready, then I can go with you." Arri said, walking out of the bar to get her stuff. 23 looked at Belthen. "I do not require any personal items." He said.

Belthen would clap again and say. "Good! The shuttle is on the pad, come and find us when you have our stuff. Follow me 23, it shouldn't be that long of a walk back to the shuttle. It wasin't that long of a walk here!"

With the flotilla complete, Ha'Fica knew they would be leaving soon. As he entered the Flight Deck, he was met by the day shift command staff. Sysops were busily working at their consoles, a few of the higher ranking personell watching over them and giving advice when something unusual happened. Everything seemed under control though. Yo'Rizu was making the announcement over Public Address that they planned to depart in 20 minutes. The message was relayed to the other spacecraft. A tanker shimmied up to the Terror, and began transferring fuel across. The heavy cruiser probably wasn't low on fuel, so topping off its tanks wouldn't take long. The navigator sat strapped into his seat at his workstation, looking surly. At least he was working, Ha'Fica though, sighing inwardly.

Zjopri made sure she flicked the transmission switch off, before turning and addressing her CIC personnel. "So, we have one foreign species that uses a drive that produces blatantly obvious subspace emissions reaching for light years, ostensibly desires peace, and doesn't exactly produce complete answers to questions, and another that seems to operate a stealthier system, was attracted by aforementioned radiation spike, and has been more or less silent as far as we can tell. Anybody care to guess their intentions?"
The Webcutter and Black Widows begin burning onto intercept courses towards the Tangleweb, while the two Jumping Spiders begin charging translight drives for travel to nearby systems.

The Herring completed it's deceleration burn, entering an orbit around the planet. The communications crew decided to hail the ship that was the most similar to theirs, the Tangleweb. Instead of a audio message, the Herring's communications crew attempted to send an image that tried to represent peaceful nature, the pursuit of science, and willingness to cooperate on translation efforts.

The PA system had been counting the minutes to departure time. There was no countdown of seconds, since there was no need for the fleet to all go to FTL at once. Almost ironically, Terror, with the slowest FTL drive, was fastest to dissappear from the assembley point. The other spacecraft were busy lighting themselves up in a good impression of a planet's aurora. After a few minutes though, all sixty spacecraft of the Multiverse Expeditionary Force were travelling at superluminal speeds. The Terror moved at a sedate but steady pace, while the TEWHY-carrying vessels were moving slower but accellerating. They would reach twice the Terror's speed before coasting to a stop at their destination. If the calculations were correct, they would all arrive near the reality hurricane at near enough the same time.

Zjopri waited as the bridge computer tried to interpret the incoming broadcast, before finding it incapable of translating the alien data into anything understandable. Might as well send them something for their efforts, Zjopri thought before flicking the transmission switch, aiming the array towards the Qiisqex, and broadcasting "Foreign life, we are representatives the Khzr'Che, the peaceful inhabitants of the world below us. How do you do?"

The Herring received the message from the Khzr'Che, and the communications crew was amazed by how similar it was to their own language. The clicks and chitterings would obviously not match up perfectly to Qiisqex words, but translation would be easy. The Herring sent a message back to indicate they had received the message. "Message received. This is the QSNV Herring, a vessel of the Qiisqex State. We come for scientific purposes."

Zjopri was surprised at the swiftness of their reply, and responded "Ah - our other friends here presumed that the emissions of their superluminal drive are what attracted you to our system. Could that be correct?"
Meanwhile, the Black Widows began pulling into formation around the Tangleweb while the Webcutter initiated its deceleration burn and the Jumping Spiders, drives charged, departed home for systems unknown.
