"Warning: Low oxygen. Pressure loss. Low re-"
Engineers should've fixed that bug ages ago, the Speaker thought as he shut down the pod's interface. The red warning lights faded into a deep and calming darkness, while the Speaker detached the air tanks from their magnetic clamps and floated out into the vacuum seperating him and the arm by mere meters. While the propulsion backpack pushed him on a trajectory towards it, he reached out mentally, performing a cursory search for any minds aboard the ship.

Searching for minds would reveal a fair many, the largest and most prominent mind being apparent as the very ship itself. There was well over two hundred minds aboard the ship, most of them being rather simple minds but minds none the less. The ship itself would notice this slightly, altering the captain "a small life reaches out, I feel it, it is looking", the captain just grinned and said "So someone that CAN communicate". The docking arm would open a form of hatch on the end, an ever slight suction drawing in the life form.
